Allied Universal is looking to hire a Director of Business Development. This experienced consultative sales professional will assist our VP of Business Development in executing a strategic plan of leveraging multiple skill sets in order to achieve lofty corporate revenue goals. The Lead will also be responsible for achieving a sales goal within a regional territory. Primary responsibilities include:
Coaching and Leadership:
Assist the VP of Business Development in the region that generates new profitable business and drives Allied Universal’s strategic planEffectively and proactively collaborate with VPBD to, onboard, train, develop, coach, and engage the sales team to exceed expected results. Actively engage in special projects and utilize subject matter expertise to drive new sales.Deploy strategies to embrace and execute the reinforcement of consultative sales skills training and sales process to enhance the quality and quantity of new business accounts acquired. Provide guidance and accountability for quality wins. Review bid specifications, contracts and pricing, assist in resolving related issues, address and interpret specifications and items to anticipate all requirementsCoach team to identify and recognize the unique buyer in the buying process map to leverage and nurture connections to productive relationshipsUtilize expertise in Salesforce management to assist in the development of strong BDM pipelines throughout the regionEmbrace the corporate culture of being nimble and fast, effective at handling multiple assignments in order to assist in driving a regional sales culture of winning.New Business Development:
Establish relationships with potential clients to distinguish Allied Universal from the current provider and deliver tailored solutions professionally and effectively as the most responsive security services providerProspect and hunt for new business through innovative lead generation tools and leverage existing advanced and dedicated social media opportunitiesPerpetuate and amplify a professional local brand to enhance the company brand to attract a following of targeted connections and relationshipsAchieve new business goals for the territory that will result in commission and bonus opportunitiesAccountable for ensuring all sales data is maintained through Salesforce.comCollaborate and partner with the operations leadership in the region to demonstrate the resources and expertise of Allied Universal to clients during the sales process to ensure confidence in the value and competence of the operations team after the sale during implementation of servicesStrategically coordinate schedule/travel to optimize client meetings throughout the territoryConduct all business with the highest of ethical and professional standardsExecute high level of integrity and trust with both internal and external customers.QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree Minimum six (6) years outside sales experience in a B2B environment, preferably with a service product.Demonstrated ability to work in a team oriented sales environment that allows for collaboration with the operations team in identifying and resolving issues and concernsProven track record of excellence in sales activity (awards, top rankings, etc.) using consultative sales techniquesExperience as a true hunter with the ability to coach skills in prospecting and following up with consistencyProven track record of developing and engaging people to achieve superior resultsDemonstrated ability to work in and facilitate in a team oriented management environment and to help identify and solve problemsWorld Class interpersonal and communication skills, including highly effective written and oral deliveryAbility to get along with other employees, follows directions, work under stress and continuously improveAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with senior leadership, peers, subordinates, internal resources and clientsProven success in hiring the best sales talent and effectively managing a sales team performanceSales training on strategic consultative selling techniquesExperience using a formal, defined sales processAbility to travel throughout all areas of the territory, including some overnight travelHighly effective leader with the ability to build strong relationships internally with all levels of the organization and manage under difficult service delivery timeframesSuperior, world class interpersonal and communication skills as well as solid writing skillsDedication to high quality customer service delivery and integrity through proven client and customer relationshipsProficient in web-based applications (i.e. salesforce.com), and programs (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint), to effectively edit and create reports, database entries and presentation materialsStrong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to strategically plan sales calls, sales presentations and cold callingPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working with large complex sales process and managing a sales teamOperational experience in a service industry at the management levelBENEFITS:
