Director of Sales

Overview: The Director of Sales (Canada) position is an important part of the organization at Veritext and will be responsible for providing essential support to the Account Executive and Account Management teams. The Director of Sales will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a strong desire to succeed and the ability to leverage their experience to manage and grow business. The Director of Sales will be responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in assigned market. Staffs and directs a sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for clients and Account Executives. What you'll do: + Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability. + Responsible for the performance and development of the Account Executives and Account Managers + Prepares action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects. + Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets + Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed. + Conducts one-on-one review with all Account Executives and Account Managers to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of Account Executives’ and Account Managers’ sales and activity performance. + Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance. + Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin. + Maintains accurate records of all pricing, sales, and activity reports submitted by Account Executives. + Creates and conducts proposal presentations and RFP responses. + Assists Account Executives in preparation of proposals and presentations. + Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines. + Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team. + Interviews and hires Account Executives based on criteria agreed upon by senior management + Sales Support functions such as; ordering client giveaways, event planning. + Lunch and learn preparation, booth ordering, and coordination of events. + Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries. + Client and witness accommodations (setting up conference rooms for depositions, meetings, etc.) + Provide support to regional account executives and account managers for sales and marketing efforts, including coordination of Trade Shows, catering, networking events and sponsorships; ensure ready supply of marketing collateral and promotional items + Maintenance of all conference room facilities, including video conferencing activities. + Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. + Assisting the senior management in development of contests, projects and other activities that help drive the sales process. + Administration of systems that support the sales process (Salesforce.com, Vision, etc.) + Other duties as assigned Who you are: + Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience + 5+ years experience in sales and sales leadership + Knowledge of legal services industry preferred but not required + Proficient in relevant computer software packages and applications + Excellent verbal and written communication + Supporting the clients and resolving issues that arise. + Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed + Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills; able to respond promptly to client needs, follow through and resolve issues in a pleasant and helpful manner + Detail oriented, organized and dedicated professional + Proactive and motivated with good problem-solving skills + Computer skills including knowledge of Excel and MS Outlook + Must be detail-oriented and accurate with the ability to work well under pressure + Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and interact effectively + Results driven; demonstrate professionalism; act with integrity and accountability Benefits: + Competitive compensation and total rewards package + Extended health coverage that includes medical, dental and vision benefits + Hybrid structure + Paid Time Off + 3 personal/float days + Robust suite of mental health benefits with little to no fee for you (and your household members) to support overall mental wellbeing and provide sufficient access to high quality support from board-certified psychiatrists and licensed psychologists/therapists (app based, virtual counseling, daily emails, live and on-demand content, and more) + Matched RRSP to help you save for your future + Learning and development opportunities to advance both personally and professionally + Veritext Summer Camp – a fun-filled culture building and learning experience + Generous employee referral program, tuition reimbursement program, employee contests, social opportunities and more! The compensation range noted above represents the expected base pay compensation range for this role. Ultimately, a number of factors including, but not limited to, your prior job-related knowledge and experience, geographic location, and qualifications will be considered when determining your pay and we may pay more or less than the posted range.
