Volt is immediately hiring for a Director of Sales & Estimating in Meadville, PA.
\r\n\r\nAs the Director of Sales & Estimating, you will manage and direct inside and outside sales personnel to develop new sales opportunities.
\r\n\r\nAdditional responsibilities include:
\r\n\r\nManagerial:
\r\n\r\n\r\n\tDeveloping, maintaining and adhering to departmental budget.\r\n\tProvides sales and estimating analysis, forecast and trend reports to management.\r\n\r\n\r\nSales:
\r\n\r\n\r\n\tIdentifies target customers and creates strategy to capture business.\r\n\tCreates and presents proposals to new customers.\r\n\tResponsible for reporting on time delivery concerns for their customers to the President.\r\n\r\n\r\nQuoting:
\r\n\r\n\r\n\tSolicits and compiles documentation to support quotation responses.\r\n\tEnsures quotes are completed on a timely basis.\r\n\tConsults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates, resolve issues, and provide information regarding the quotation process.\r\n\tProvides technical analysis and consulting services, including product design, mold design, molding, secondary machining and assembly issues.\r\n\tCreates/directs Mold Specification Sheets, Budgets, Base Lines, and Sample Packets for job release.\r\n\tReviews and approves quotes to customers.\r\n\r\n\r\nEngineering Changes:
\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPerforms required quote update activities created by Engineering Change Notices, customer changes, changes in cycle time or material prices.\r\n\tEvaluates Engineering Change Notices for possible quote update requirements and evaluates control plans for accuracy.\r\n\r\n\r\nSupervision:
\r\n\r\n\r\n\tCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.\r\n\tInterviews, hires, trains, completes performance evaluations and oversees disciplinary actions, addresses complaints and assists with resolving problems for department employees.\r\n\tIs responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of all sales and estimating staff.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity.
\r\n\r\nThe ideal candidate will have:
\r\n\r\n\r\n\tBachelor’s degree or equivalent; or ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\r\n\tAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.\r\n\tAbility to write reports and business correspondence and sales proposals.\r\n\tAbility to communicate with internal and external customers and vendors in a clear and concise manner.\r\n\tAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. \r\n\tAbility to apply concepts of basic algebra and statistics.\r\n\tAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\r\n\tMust be computer literate and proficient with spreadsheets.\r\n\tA valid driver’s license is required and the ability to travel up to 40% of work week if needed.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Salary: $80,000- $120,000 per year
\r\n\r\n*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
