Our next superstar will be responsible for the development and performance of all sales and marketing activities and the team itself. Responsible for developing and implementing a thoughtful; effective sales strategy and working with the marketing team to ensure the hotel’s unique brand pillars are front and center and critical goals are crushed!
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:Salary range $100,000 to $115,000Foster a work environment where all team members have an opportunity torealize their full potential. Develop; implement a high-value direct sales program, in accordance withgoals established to penetrate new markets and shift desired share fromcompetitors. Continuously evaluate the hotel’s involvement in the various sales and revenuedistribution channels and develop strong working relationships to proactivelyposition and market the hotel accordingly. Sets goals and expectations for direct reports, align performance andincentives, manages performance issues and holds team accountable forresults. Research and maintain knowledge of customer intelligence in evaluating themarket and economic trends that may lead to changes in sales or marketingstrategy to meet or exceed customer and owner expectations. Manage the development of a strategic action plan for the demand generatorsin the market and at the resort to maximize revenue opportunities andreputation Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local,regional and national communities through high-value public relations, digitalmarketing, social media, strategic partnerships, special events, and direct salesefforts. Proactively report on the progress and results of the marketing plan and relatedstrategic activities, to include key metrics as well as conversion and return oninvestment data to key stakeholders. Continuously provide leadership and direction to the hotel’s sales team toproduce excellent results, be the first to market and challenge the status quo. Increase market share by creating hotel-specific promotions to becommunicated using the hotel, brand, 3rd party channels and on-site marketingcommunication vehicles. Develop expert knowledge of the hotels signature outlets and seasonalevents, drive current and aspirational product positioning in marketplace,seasonality, pricing strategies and master the competitive advantages to thehotels primary/aspirational competitive set(s). Experience and robust understanding of the needs, challenges, and benefits ofthis type of hotel. Exhibit a positive and inspired attitude to all hotel departments and maintainopen communications with all Hotelitarians to ensure the best overallperformance of the hotel and team members. Participate and provide critical information to enhance daily revenuemanagement decisions and strategies.DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience.
Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in a related management role. Hotel experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities: Ability to perform critical analysis and manage wide-range of information. Extensive knowledge of negotiating and sales procedures associated with the hotel industry. Excellent oral, written and presentation skills sufficient to produce sales and marketing communication that properly reflect the Foundation Image. Listen effectively. Ability to delegate, manage manpower and organize complex projects and establishes priorities consistent with department/hotel objectives. Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests.
