Position Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Director of Sales will be responsible for driving revenue growth across MOTOR’s product line. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, developing strategies for market penetration, and building strong relationships with key players in the vehicle industry, as well as collaborating with internal sales teams. Your ability to secure new clients, meet ambitious sales targets, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction will define your success.
Responsibilities
Has a “hunter” mentality – loves to cold call and open new accounts – not a “harvester” who loves to sell 1 big deal and manage the account. Prospects daily Get meetings with prospects & qualify new business opportunities Keeps sales funnel full, New appointments are vital to ensure their pipeline growing. Uses a variety of prospecting tools and techniques. Our hunter will vary prospecting techniques to increase the number of conversations. They won't hesitate to ask their network and customers for references and introductions. Isn’t intimidated by decision maker. Our candidate will spend most of their time prospecting business leaders, CEOs, COO’s, VPs, etc. Our candidate will know how to identify and reach decision-makers. Consistently maintains a network of contacts Is independently driven, not needing approval or significant oversight on how to prospect Our candidate must be optimistic and resilient, not being discouraged easily so they can navigate to next prospecting event. Maintaining a sales pipeline at least 3X quota Keep accurate and up to date records of all deals in CRM system including close dates, probability, stage, meeting notes, and next steps Identify new business opportunities and establish strategic partnerships Deliver compelling presentations that showcase the value of MOTOR’s data solutions to industry stakeholders. Lead contract negotiations and close high-value deals with industry partners. Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to guide sales strategies. Monitor and evaluate sales performance metrics to refine strategies and ensure continued success. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer solutions align with business goals and drive revenue growth.Required Skills/Experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably within the automotive vehicle sectors. Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and driving significant sales growth. Deep understanding of the vehicle industry and market dynamics. Strong B2B sales and marketing experience, particularly within the automotive or heavy-duty sectors. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. Familiarity with data analytics or technology solutions is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.Company Background
