Director of Sales & Marketing

Summary

You will be responsible for the efficient running of the division in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards while meeting employee, guest, and owner expectations. The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible to position the hotel in the local marketplace through appropriate sales and marketing initiatives and to ensure the hotel product and services align with the positioning and brand promise created through marketing communications, and providing leadership in all selling activities within the hotel, working closely with the Rooms, Food and Beverage, and other revenue-generating departments to maximize sales through the activities of the Sales Marketing Department and other employees.

Ideally with a university degree or diploma in Marketing or Hospitality/Tourism managementMinimum seven years' experience in the hospitality field. Independent luxury hotel and/or international luxury hotel chain brand experience is strongly preferred.Experience as a proactive sales professional at a similar hotel in South East Asia or/and in a resort destinationExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong supervisory and personnel management experienceWilling to be entrepreneurial and take risksAbility to handle multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced team environmentAbility to work independently on projects and also collaborate as a strong team memberExcellent attention to detail, flexible and adaptable to changeAbility to operate under pressure and meet or exceed deadlinesExcellent organizational, time-management and analytical skillsImagination and creativity skills, focusing on improving financial performance through aggressive sales and marketing initiativesPositive, outgoing, and self-motivating individual with a pleasant personalityAbility to maintain a professional manner and appearance in all situationsIdeally with a university degree or diploma in Marketing or Hospitality/Tourism managementMinimum seven years' experience in the hospitality field.
