Director of Sales & Marketing
Magnolia Plantation & Gardens is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales and Marketing to lead and enhance our sales efforts. This role is primarily focused on driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives, sales training, and performance optimization. The Director will be responsible for leading the sales team, developing and implementing sales strategies, and ensuring exceptional execution of revenue-generating programs. Additionally, the Director will oversee the planning and execution of special events, ensuring they align with the organization’s objectives and contribute to revenue growth. The Director of Sales and Marketing will serve as the primary liaison with our third- party marketing firm to ensure alignment between marketing efforts and sales objectives. Key Responsibilities: Sales Leadership & Strategy: + Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth across all revenue streams, including retail operations, speciality tours, memberships, group sales, and bespoke experiences. + Set clear sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team, ensuring accountability and achievement of goals. + Identify and develop new sales opportunities to expand Magnolia’s market reach, including targeting niche groups such as corporate clients, travel agencies, and nature enthusiasts. + Monitor industry trends, competitive landscapes, and customer preferences to adjust sales strategies accordingly. Sales Training & Team Development: + Lead, mentor, and train the sales team to enhance their selling techniques, product knowledge, and customer engagement skills. + Implement ongoing sales training programs focused on consultative selling, upselling techniques, and relationship building. + Provide regular performance feedback, coaching, and support to maximize team effectiveness. + Foster a sales-driven culture that emphasizes customer satisfaction and revenue growth. CRM & Sales Analytics: + Manage and optimize the CRM system to track leads, sales performance, and customer interactions. + Utilize data analytics to assess sales effectiveness, forecast revenue, and identify areas for improvement. + Generate and analyze reports to measure success and make data-driven decisions to improve sales strategies. Collaboration with Marketing: + Act as the key liaison with Magnolia’s third-party marketing firm, ensuring that marketing campaigns align with sales objectives. + Provide input on promotional strategies, messaging, and audience targeting to maximize sales impact. + Collaborate on lead generation initiatives and ensure seamless communication between sales and marketing efforts. Customer & Partner Engagement: + Cultivate relationships with key partners, including travel agents, event planners, corporate clients, and tourism organizations. + Oversee the sales process from prospecting to closing, ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction. + Represent Magnolia Plantation & Gardens at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote sales initiatives. Oversee Special Events: + Oversee special events that align with Magnolia Plantation & Gardens' brand, mission, and revenue objectives. + Work with internal teams and external partners to coordinate event logistics, programming, and promotion. + Ensure that special events contribute to driving revenue, enhancing brand awareness, and engaging target audiences. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Hospitality, or a related field. + Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales leadership, preferably in the hospitality, tourism, or cultural attractions industry. + Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth. + Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills. + Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities. + Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools. + Ability to work collaboratively with external marketing partners.
