Director of Sales & Marketing

General Purpose: 

Directs all marketing of membership sales and follows through with actual sales and sales approval processes. Ensures accuracy of file systems and accounting procedures and coordinates new member introduction into the Club.

Essential Duties:

Develops and leads a strategic membership development program designed to increase total membership count and membership dues revenue. Assists in the development and implementation of advertising and promotional campaigns designed to generate membership sales. Maintains electronic member databases and hard files that include contact information, call records, and activity management. Creates and maintains accurate and efficient filing systems. Maintains complete understanding of membership categories, sales processes and new member enrollment processes. Assists in on-boarding of all new members with new member announcements and orientation information. Serves as management representative on member-run Membership Committee. Prepares monthly membership reports. Assists in coordination of all club events to include invitations, mailings and other Serves as initial point of contact for many member and prospective member questions, providing accurate and efficient information in an effort to build strong membership relationships, improve member satisfaction and promote the overall club.  Support management of club’s website and social media Effectively communicates with management staff and associates to increase knowledge of membership goals, membership satisfaction, membership retention, and membership Manages department members that may include, but is not limited to: Communications Assures that effective orientation and training are given to each new Develops ongoing engagement programs. Monitors business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs and other expenses. Regular and reliable

Education/Experience:

Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

Frequently sits, talks, hears; uses hands. Regularly walks and stands.                                                                                 Occasionally reaches with hands and arms, stoops, kneels, crawls and crouches. Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds.

Environment/Noise:

Noise level is moderate. Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.

Certificates/Licenses: 

Valid Driver’s License

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferences: 

Ability to read and speak English in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates are required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates use are in English). Knowledge of Microsoft Office
