Director of Sales - Medical DeviceReporting to the Business Unit leader, as the Director of Sales, you will be accountable for informing and executing overall commercial strategy, revenue generation and profitable growth of the Medical Device Business Unit. This includes leading a commercial team consisting of new business development, account management, and partnering closely with Product Management, Application Engineering, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Commercial Technology on overall customer strategy and execution impacting the Business Unit.Roles & Responsibilities:
Drive Business Unit commercial strategy to meet increased revenue, profit, and ROCE goals.Drive sustainable, profitable growth by enhancing competitive advantages, customer acquisition and growth and creating market interest/desire of new products.Drive long-term supply agreements, including customer-funded growth contracts.Raise market awareness and communicates trends and forecasting to gain support on key initiatives, such as capex investment, divestitures, and acquisitions, to accelerate strategy and profitable growth.Enable achievement of Business Unit objectives across the commercial team through leadership in account management and business development.Partner on planning efforts including revenue forecasting, P&L, S&OP, and R&D planning.Identify, develop and maintain business growth opportunities with strategic customers, associations, institutions, academia and positions CoorsTek as a thought leader.Work with customers, Product Management, Application Engineering and Strategic Technology to identify and drive new product development and growth activities including:Initiating, developing and defining key customer/market requirementsCreating demand for CoorsTek products through proactive selling, technical roadshows, technology roadmaps with customers and marketing communications plan (e.g. thought leadership, trade shows, social media, white papers, website, etc)Providing technical expertise and communicating customer needs to the broader CoorsTek organization including R&D, engineering and manufacturing teamsRecommend internal decision making on long term growth investments including capital and R&D decisions for the Business Unit.Bring an expert understanding of market conditions/trends, customer needs, and ensures commercial strategies are aligned to business direction, priorities, and account plansJob Requirements:
Bachelors’ Degree in Chemical Engineering, Ceramics, Materials Science, or other equivalent field.MBA preferred.10-15 years of business-to-business technology industry sales experience required, Medical Device highly preferred.Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of financial management, budgeting, and P&L management.Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, driving business growth and achieving financial targets.Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.Fosters an environment where people talk openly about differences and works to draw innovative solutions from divergent opinions.Considers how personal leadership style affects people and groups and makes needed adjustments.
