Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and results-driven Director of Sales to join our pre-opening team. As the Director of Sales, you will be instrumental in driving the hotel's commercial success by developing and implementing strategic sales plans that position The Monarch as the premier luxury destination in San Antonio. Your mission will be to create lasting relationships with key clients, generate revenue, and ensure the hotel's market-leading performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sales strategies to support revenue objectives of the hotel Responsibilities include targeting and securing new accounts, conducting direct sales calls, attending travel and trade show-related activities and property presentations to retail travel agencies and reservation call centers, in person and virtually Determine rates, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, service accounts and analyze lost business for the hotel. Respond to sales inquiries from potential clients and customers seeking sleeping rooms, meeting space, food and beverage services, etc.in a promptly manner. Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners. Plan and execute sales calls, presentations, and client entertainment with retail travel agents, luxury travel managers, and other intermediaries. Host and direct on-property Travel Partner FAM Trips, site inspections, and educational tours. Support and promote leisure packages, offers, and promotions in collaboration with Revenue Management, Marketing Team.and Zachry Hotels Group Sales team. Monitor implementation of packages and offers with operational departments and deploy to luxury partnerships (e.g. American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts, Capital One Premier Collection, Internova, Signature, The Edit by Chase, Vistuoso and other applicable partnerships. Travel as required based on the sales and marketing plan, focusing on retail travel agencies, consortia, and partnership accounts. Communicate VIP arrivals and works with various departments to ensure requested services are provided to customers. Conduct monthly account review meetings with DOSM. Implement and promote marketing initiatives as developed in the marketing plan for key accounts. Effectively cross-sell hotel outlets and revenue centers (e.g., spa, dining, and activities). Prepare account performance reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Conduct research on key account room night/revenue performance at competitive-set hotels. Monitor and understand leisure sales strategies and promotional programs of the competitive set. Participate in daily business review meeting, training and other sales-related meetings as required. Consistently present a polished, professional image of Zachry Hotels, The Monarch San Antonio.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university preferred. A minimum of five (5) years DOS experience within a luxury hotel preferredSpecial Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Delphi and front office systems. Ability to create and interpret revenue reports to lead the revenue management process. Ability to analyze STR reports, Hoteligence, Knowland and other analytical tools for sales and revenue management. Overnight travel is required. May require evening, night, holiday, and weekend assignments on occasion. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.Benefits
