POSITION PURPOSE:


 Primary responsibility is to oversee the operations of Slots the department. Assist in overseeing the planning, evaluating, executing and monitoring of all slot gaming aspects to ensure that the master plan provides a safe, quality, efficient, integrated, and state-of-the-art guest centered hospitality & entertainment experience.  This position will work closely with the GM/Director of Gaming Operations and property managers/team members by monitoring the objective financials and hospitality standards.  Position is responsible for maximizing revenue by successfully achieving objectives, based on profit and return on capital, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal controls.  


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Develops and implements specific strategies for the slot floor including the layout and mix of the slot machines, revenue growth, and expense management in order to maximize profitability. Reviews strengths and weaknesses of the operation such as win per unit and other standard gaming statistics, in order to achieve the most efficient and beneficial allocation of resources. Develop and manage the departmental budget, including forecasting, expense control, and revenue targets. Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and take corrective actions as needed to achieve financial objectives. Oversee relationships with third-party vendors, including slot machine manufacturers, game suppliers, and service providers. Negotiate contracts, evaluate performance, and ensure that vendors cost-effectively deliver high-quality products and services. Establishes departmental standards and administrative processes to facilitate compliance with budgetary expectations and ensure efficient slot operations. Ensures slot machines are in good working repair and in working order at all times. Maintains a clean, safe, work environment within areas of responsibility. Ensures that the slot team is trained and prepared to deliver the highest level of service to guests, and a positive gaming and entertainment experience. Builds guest relations through positive and continuing visibility to guest, soliciting/requesting feedback, and responding to guest concerns appropriately and professionally to resolve any issues. Maintain current and comprehensive knowledge of gaming laws and regulations, Internal Controls, and the Tribal Gaming Compact. Identify compliance risks and take actions necessary to eliminate or minimize risks. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established Company policy, and in compliance with regulations. Responsible for the overall integrity of daily operations, ensures compliance and training with all regulatory, internal control, and associated policies and procedures. Works closely with regulatory authorities, and internal control team members, to ensure regulatory and operational practice compliance. Works closely with Marketing Department in the establishment of slot promotions programs, which are unique, exciting and revenue profit generating. Take on and manage various projects as assigned in order to aid in achievement of evolving company goals and objectives. Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.  Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience required. 5+ years slot operations management experience required. 5+ years related experience managing large teams to meet demanding goals and deadlines. 3+ years managing large capital projects from concept and design to completion. Tribal Gaming experience is strongly preferred. Proven managerial problem solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to exercise independent judgement within established policies. Must possess excellent interpersonal and employee relations skills. Ability to respond in a calm and decisive manner and make rational decisions in stressful situations with co-workers, guests and vendors. Must be able to provide multi-shift responsibility with emphasis on swing shift and weekends. Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.  Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated initiative, motivation, and team building skills. Must have a comprehensive understanding of player tracking system and complimentary guidelines consistent with normal industry standards. Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Must be 21 years of age or older and able to obtain/maintain a Class III Gaming License.
