Director of Social Media

Job Summary:

Ruggable is seeking a highly motivated and creative Director of Social Media with 7+ years experience to join our fast-paced team. This role will lead the development of the social media strategy, including content strategy, campaign development and community management to ignite brand awareness and drive business results. The ideal candidate will have a passion for home & design, a deep understanding of brand storytelling, cultural trends, social media tools, and a proven track record building and growing owned social programs. This role will be both strategic and hands-on, collaborating with internal creative & marketing partners to build a winning & thoughtful social approach. This leadership role will manage a team of 3.

What You’ll Do: 

Strategy

Develop and execute social media strategies to grow Ruggable’s brand awareness & engagement across social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube Manage all social planning, including the development of the brand’s social content calendar, working closely with internal and external creators to deliver high performing & brand-building content  Develop and measure social performance metrics to drive business results Partner with the cross-functional teams to ensure campaigns & evergreen marketing are amplified on all social media platforms, delivering on goals

Content Creation

Oversee the strategy and creation of social content, working closely with partners to brief, review, create and finalize content that resonate with our community and reflect Ruggable’s brand

Community Management

Develop a strategy to cultivate a community-first culture, managing a team to engage in comments and messages authentically and proactively participating in conversations to drive consumer engagement in adjacent communities

Trends

Stay abreast of industry trends, social media innovations, and best practices, ensuring Ruggable remains a leader in the home space and disseminating trends cross-functionally

Reporting

Identify and implement tools to monitor social media performance, report insights, and recommend strategies to optimize engagement and reach Lead social listening, developing new approaches to accelerate performance

Team Management

Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of 3, supporting their growth and development

What You’ll Need to Have:

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field 7+ years of experience managing social media for brands, ideally in home, beauty, fashion or other lifestyle categories A passion for social media, content creation, and influencer partnerships Strong knowledge of social media platforms, tools, and best practices, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube Previous people leadership experience

Preferred:

Experience in influencer marketing Strong knowledge of the competitive landscape, especially DTC ecommerce & home brands Experience in fast-paced DTC culture

Compensation:

$125,000 - $165,000 per year base salary An annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of role Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company sponsored 401K plan
