Director of Social Services
Community Health Systems
**Job Summary**
Supports Patients And Families by identifying social-environmental service gaps; analyzing departmental data; conferring with other healthcare professionals; preparing and disseminating social-environmental policies, procedures, and protocols; coaching providers; advocating for social work, discharge planning, and child life initiatives; visiting with service providers; providing consultative services; resolving conflicts; expediting arrangements; directing staff.
**Essential Functions**
+ Provides clinical supervision, support and direction to therapists and patient care coordinators
+ Ensures appropriate and adequate therapeutic interventions are implemented
+ Participates in clinical program creation and services
+ Participates in treatment team and discharge planning oversight
+ Ascertain that clinical and professional learning needs of the social service staff
+ Manages therapeutic staff schedules, hours and necessary computer systems to manage productivity standards
+ Participates in policy development and review
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Complies with all policies and standards.
**Qualifications**
+ Master's Degree in Human Services Field required
+ 3-5 years in clinical social work or related work required
+ 2-4 years in a direct supervisory and administrative experiences required
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Knowledge of community resources, expertise in assessing social, emotional, psychological and psychiatric factors and the ability to express ideas in a clear, concise way
+ Ability to delegate to others
+ Adhere to ethical standards and utilization of good judgement
**Licenses and Certifications**
+ LCSW- Licensed Clinical Social Worker required or
+ LMHC-Licensed Mental Health Counselor required or
+ LPC-Licensed Professional Counselor required
