Director Of Store Design

Hiring a Director of Store Design for a Growing Fashion Retail Brand!

The Director of Store Design is responsible for managing and assisting the store design process from concept to store opening as well as renovating existing boutiques. This person will share the same aesthetic and design of the brand and continue to grow the brand throughout the US. This person will partner with the visual team to select FF&E and lighting.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design

-5 years+ experience

-Experience working with high-end commercial, hospitality and retail spaces

-Ability to efficiently design and manage multiple projects at a time

-Proficient in SketchUp and AutoCAD

-Passion for design industry trends, fabrics, accessories, furniture, design/art/antique fairs, and trade shows

Responsibilities:

-Develop and present concept design mood boards and new stores and existing stores

-Research retail specific design trends and innovations

-Collaborate with architects, consultants, and contractors

-Responsible for specifications and production of interior custom carpets, furnishing, fabrics, and wallpaper

-Draw custom furniture, design elevations, patterns, carpets and floor plans to scale in AutoCAD

-Travel to stores for site visits and openings 30% travel

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

-Experience working for a fashion retail brand or for a high end hospitality/retail interior design firm

-Has a pulse on the current trends and has contacts within the industry
