Director of Strategy
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** **Description:** Under the direction and support of the Regional Chief Strategy Officer this position provides direction for the development and implementation of strategic plans and initiatives, business and service line plans, regulatory compliance support, merger/acquisitions, market assessments, inputs into the long range master facility and financial plans, and conducts other analyses for the Trinity Michigan, Florida and Georgia region and specific ministry assigned as requested. This position advances the role of planning, strategy, and business development across the hospitals, Medical Group offices, clinically integrated networks (CIN), post acute, senior living and other Trinity Michigan, Florida, and Georgia entities within defined geography. Role will have a dotted line relationship to the ministry President or designee to ensure a local connection and should contribute to and participate on local Senior Leadership Team (SLT) as invited by ministry leadership. Approximately 90% of time spent on local initiatives and 10% of time spent on regional initiatives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Collaborates with ministry leaders, including national health ministries, finance, payer strategy and product development, marketing, innovation, facilities planning, medical group and physician services to implement proactively strategic driven processes that identify, evaluate and develop new business opportunities. Focuses on the highest-level ministry and system/region priorities that position the ministry to achieve a competitive advantage and sustainability on both organic and non-organic growth programs and initiatives. Uses the ministry growth plan to develop the strategic financial plan and support the capital requests and the facilities plans. Works with the Health Ministry (HM) regional leaders to lead and support the integrated strategic, financial, and capital planning process in collaboration with the ministry financial leadership. Drives awareness of utilization of and improved Care Coordination Value/Rate at the local level through development and monitoring of appropriate actions to support quality and seamless care. Facilitates meaningful use of the data with our CIN, Medical Group and Hospital leadership. Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the mission, vision, and values of Trinity Health in leadership behaviors, practices, and decisions. Actively participates with the ministry SLT / ELT in the development, implementation, and monitoring of key strategic initiatives. Help support the work of strategic analytical support provided by Trinity Michigan, Florida and Georgia and Trinity Health. Directs and coordinates the development of business plans and supports the development of service line plans in conjunction with service line leaders and others. Works with Finance and other departments to ensure accurate and timely completion of business plans. Interfaces with system office & regional planning, finance, and other staff to ensure plans meet system office needs and standards. Assembles, coordinates, and directs the resources of multiple departments necessary to support implementation of key strategic initiatives. Organizes, coordinates, communicates, and assures the quality of the competitive data, market data, survey data, and related analysis function provided by strategic planning, finance, or other departments as needed. Supports the development of local ministry strategic and operating plans. Will develop documents and presentations for use by various management and physician audiences. Make presentations as requested. Responsible for developing and monitoring related implementation plans. Will collaborate with operations to implement key initiatives. Ensures that all Trinity Michigan, Florida, and Georgia ministry planning processes and documents are in alignment with Trinity Health plans and processes.
