Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Director of Strategy leads a diverse team in the administration and execution of strategic plans and continuous improvement initiatives to support the Choctaw Nation’s organizational goals. You will report to the Senior Director of Strategy.
Primary Tasks:
Develop relationships with executive leadership to become a trusted advisor and hold reoccurring check-ins to maintain communication regarding progress towards initiatives. Develop Strategic Delivery Sr Managers in strategic planning and continuous improvement processes, frameworks, action plans, project management, Lean Six Sigma tools, quality assurance practices, and other methodologies. Provide guidance to Strategic Delivery Sr Managers to ensure successful execution of strategic objectives and continuous improvement initiatives; ensure that direct reports are holding regular meetings with project stakeholders to measure progress. Lead development of comprehensive strategic and continuous improvement initiatives plans for assigned areas of support to increase cost savings, increase revenue, eliminate waste, improve guest/tribal member satisfaction, reduce redundancies, improve product offerings, and increase market share that aligns with the goals of the Choctaw Nation. Cultivate a culture of strategic thinking and process improvement within the organization by prioritizing and driving adoption of creative opportunities. Review established key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of strategic and continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee the development and accuracy of business or program reports that summarize the progress of strategic and continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct assessment and analysis efforts to recommend sustainable improvements to executive leadership. Stay updated on industry best practices for assigned support areas and benchmark against industry leaders for implementation into Choctaw Nation business operations. Bachelor’s degree in business, organizational management, or related field and six [6] or more years of operations experience with at least two [2] years in a leadership role, OR ten [10] years of directly related experience in lieu of education. Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Windows. Execute complex process improvement projects. Project management skills required. Proficiency in data analysis and use of visualization tools. Understand P&L statements and how decisions impact or improve. Ability to understand business challenges.About the Choctaw Nation
