Position Specific Description

As a Director within our Strategy team, you will be responsible for the analysis and strategy on high priority projects as assigned by senior executive management within our NextEra Energy Transmission (NEET) group. This position works with a small cross-functional team to analyze, develop, and propose strategies or solutions to complex topics. Individuals rapidly identify key data, stakeholders, and the current landscape in order to effectively present ideas for executive review.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the analysis and development of strategic initiatives for transmission development projects. Work closely with senior management to assess the competitive landscape, identify key challenges, and propose actionable solutions.
• Collaborate with various internal teams, including engineering, finance, operations, and regulatory affairs, to align on project objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Prepare high-quality presentations, reports, and executive summaries for senior leadership. Effectively communicate complex ideas, data points, and strategies to stakeholders and decision-makers at all levels of the organization.
• Identify and engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights, validate strategies, and build consensus.
• Conduct thorough research and due diligence to support strategic recommendations. Utilize analytical tools to assess data, trends, and market dynamics to inform decision-making.

 

Key Skills & Qualifications:
• Background in management consulting, with a focus on power utilities/renewable energy and strategy, analysis, and project management.
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and maintaining a high standard of work. Strong organizational skills with a proven track record of executing projects efficiently.
• Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. 

Job Overview

Employees in this role are responsible for leading and coordinating key functions of a project such as financial feasibility analysis, engineering/design, project legal review and financial negotiations. The position plays a key role in building strategic relationships and executing major contracts necessary to support the Company’s generating business growth initiatives. This role reviews and oversees the development of key project agreements. This role is responsible for all aspects of the business deal and will be involved in the closure of multiple projects.
