As Director of Substation Engineering, you will lead the engineering team in designing, analyzing, and optimizing Substation while managing projects from concept to commissioning. This role involves ensuring compliance with industry standards, overseeing budgets and schedules, and integrating projects into broader energy infrastructure plans. You’ll also mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support cross-functional collaboration and project success. Other activities may include:

 

Lead the engineering team in the design, analysis, and optimization of SubstationManage all phases of Substation projects, from conceptual design through construction and commissioningEnsure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocolsCollaborate with cross- functional teams to integrate Substation projects into overall energy infrastructure plansDevelop and manage budgets, schedules, and project deliverables
Mentor and develop junior engineering staffProvide technical support and guidance to other departments as needed Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's preferred)Typically has 10+ years of experience in Substation engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership roleProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredProven track record of successfully managing large-scale engineering projectsStrong knowledge of Substation design software and toolsExcellent communication, leadership, and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
