Position Summary
In this leadership role, the Director of Supply Chain Operations will hire, lead, and mentor the supply planning and supplier quality teams. The Director of Supply Chain Operations is responsible for Supply Planning / Delivery and, Supplier Quality in the US. The ideal candidate will be analytically driven providing insights that influence executive level decision making, setting up Singer for success through different scenarios and supply chain environments. The candidate will drive continuous improvement to place Singer at the forefront of industry standard planning best practices to enhance performance across the supply chain in a way that demonstrates “Everything is Important”. 

This position is located on-site in our Carson, CA location. 
 
Essential Functions Manages a team of people leaders and individual contributors responsible for supply chain planning and supplier quality management  Balance the supply and delivery functions within Singer supply chain to achieve production goals  Root cause Supply / Supplier Quality exceptions and implement sustainable solutions for recurring issues  Creates a culture of performance accountability, continuous improvement and both internal and external collaboration  Provides subject matter expertise for inventory planning, capacity planning and supplier quality.  Supports business planning initiatives and milestone attainment  Build and maintain strategic business relationships with key suppliers  Drive collaboration and accountability with suppliers for Cost, Quality, and Delivery  Identifies constraints that may impact production schedules  Works closely with engineering, procurement, and new product introduction leaders on Product Development purchasing strategies that support program deliverables  Works in a cross-functional team environment as a strong team player and demonstrate ability to work with other functional groups to achieve company-wide goals  Hires, trains, coaches, and provides growth opportunities to direct reports in alignment with our leadership principles and company values.  Works with senior leadership on the development of an annual plan and budget in areas or responsibility.  Performs other duties as assigned   
Qualifications:
Required Education/Experience 8+ years of direct materials procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience.  3+ years of related experience as Director of Supply Chain Operations, Senior Manager, or equivalent  Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or other relevant fields  Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, and math  Knowledge of supply chain planning and supplier quality strategies Preferred Education/Experience and/or Certifications Automotive OEM and/or Tier 2 experience, ideally balanced with supply chain and supplier quality roles  10+ years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience (direct and indirect)  5+ years with proven management experience in supply chain/supplier quality roles  Proficiency in MRP systems

Physical Demands/Work Environment Must be able to work in a seated position for extended periods  Must be able to use fingers, hands, and arms at computer keyboard for long periods of time  Must be able to work in a standing and/or walking position for long periods of time  Must have ability to speak clearly and distinctly and hear and be heard and understood in person and by telephone 
Compensation
The starting salary range for this position is between $140,000-175,000 per year, plus an annual bonus plan. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
