Tennessee State University Athletics invites applications for the position of Director of Tennis. Primary responsibilities: Plans, directs and administers all aspects of the men’s and women’s Tennis program including budget management. Coaches, recruits, and provides academic oversight for student-athletes. Supervises staff, ensures compliance with University, NCAA, and OVC rules and regulations. Adheres to commitment to the academic goals and mission of the university and to the academic success and overall development of the student-athlete. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requires Bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of two years of experience coaching and/or administration of Tennis programs at the NCAA Collegiate level or Tennis Professional level. Knowledge of University and OVC (Ohio Valley Conference) policies and regulations. Ability to recruit and communicate with prospective athletes and alumni. Knowledge of and skills in player and program development. Must pass NCAA DI recruiting exam.
