Job Title: Director of the Alternative to Incarceration Intake Team
Job Summary:
CASES is currently seeking an experienced and passionate leader to join our team as the Director of Alternative to Incarceration (ATI). The Director of ATI will oversee the development, implementation, and management of CASES' ATI programs, which provide community-based alternatives to incarceration for individuals involved in the criminal justice system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, behavioral health, and social services, as well as a deep understanding of the intersection between the criminal justice system and behavioral health.
Salary: The salary range for the Director of the Alternative to Incarceration Intake Team role is $95,000 - $100,000 per year.
Shift Hours/Days: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm.
Workplace Flexibility: Flexible: Staff have flexibility to complete their workday from home or another suitable space, typically after reporting to the office and/or engaging in field or community-based work.

What you will be doing:
Director of ATI Intake manages and operates the day-to-day operations of the court-based services in post arraignment parts of the Brooklyn, Manhattan, And Bronx Criminal and Supreme court parts. Provide oversight to 3 different courthouse locations – approximately 50% Manhattan, 25% Brooklyn and 25% Bronx courthouses. Oversee clinical supervisors of the team operations and assume supervision responsibilities when such supervisory coverage is absent. Coordinate staff training, coaching, and supervision in the core competency areas of screening and assessment, court reporting, communication with criminal justice stakeholders, court advocacy, and team-based collaboration and communication between court and program staff. Manage and develop the skills of supervisors and coach supervisory staff to effectively share performance findings with senior staff and identify solutions based on performance data and the unique operations and culture of the criminal justice staff associated with each courthouse. Coordinates staff administrative and clinical supervision and holds regular internal meetings to discuss operations and updates on programming. In collaboration with internal clinical leadership and external academic experts, oversee the integration of evidence-based violence risk assessment, including the Short-Term Assessment of Risk and Treatability (START), to develop person-centered and effective treatment plans. Train, Collaborate and Maintain excellent relationships with all court stakeholders and forge new ones as personnel changes or shifts Present at training opportunities for stakeholders, and forge referral processes Provide exemplary verbal advocacy to the court on CASES programs and ensure each interaction with the court meets client centered needs Respond timely to all stakeholders inquires and create training opportunities for external partners Remain a neutral presence in the courtroom and submit details to the courtroom with the utmost integrity in verbal and written form. Ensure budgets and ordering are adhered to and the team is in compliance with CASES fiscal standards. Provide coverage for staff and courtroom screenings, as needed. Ensure court reports, verbal updates and all communication with criminal justice stakeholders meet excellent professional standardsWhat we are looking for:
NYS license required (LMHC, LCSW, PhD or PsyD) Master’s degree in social work or doctorate in related forensic psychology field. At least 4 years of supervisory work related to forensic social work. At least 4 years of knowledge of the NYS court systems. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Respect for confidentiality.Strong interpersonal skills. Highly proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications (MS Word, Excel), experience with PowerPoint.Must be able to work independently. 75% in person position with some flexibility throughout each calendar monthPreferred but not required:
Knowledge of homeless youth services and programming is preferred but comparable youth services knowledge acceptable. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.Able to interact effectively with stakeholders, funders, and all parties involved in CASES legal cases and maintain the utmost professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
