About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Total Rewards to oversee and optimize our comprehensive compensation and benefits programs. This strategic leadership role will be pivotal in managing and running all aspects of US payroll, US benefits, compensation structures, and bonus & equity administration. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of total rewards strategy, coupled with hands-on expertise in payroll management and benefits administration.

Responsibilities

Total Rewards Strategy Development:

Develop and implement a holistic total rewards strategy aligned with organizational goals and industry benchmarks while ensuring competitive positioning through regular analysis and adjustments of compensation and benefits offerings.

Compensation Management:

Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of all US compensation programs.

Manage annual salary reviews, bonus and equity plans to drive performance and retention.

Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive pay practices.

Collaborate with HR and Finance to budget and forecast for compensation expenses.

Manage relationships with compensation vendors and brokers to optimize service delivery and cost-effectiveness.

Payroll Oversight:

Direct the US payroll function to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll.

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding payroll and taxation.

Implement best practices for payroll processes and systems, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.

Manage relationships with payroll vendors and brokers to optimize service delivery and cost-effectiveness.

Benefits Administration:

Manage benefit programs, including health, welfare, and retirement plans.

Evaluate existing benefits programs and recommend enhancements to improve employee satisfaction and retention.

Manage relationships with benefit vendors and brokers to optimize service delivery and cost-effectiveness.

Equity administration: 

Managing and overseeing a company's equity compensation plans. This includes the processes, policies, and procedures for granting, tracking, and reporting equity awards to employees and other stakeholders. 

Manage relationships with the Equity vendor to optimize service delivery 

Regulatory Compliance:

Stay current with all regulations related to compensation, benefits, and payroll.

Ensure compliance with legal requirements and reporting, including annual audits and filings.

Communication and Education:

Develop communication strategies to educate employees on total rewards programs 

Provide guidance and support to HR Business Partners and managers on compensation and benefits matters.

Analytics and Reporting:

Utilize data analytics to assess the effectiveness of compensation and benefits programs.

Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior leadership on compensation trends and program performance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

10+ years of progressive experience in total rewards management, including hands-on experience with payroll and benefits administration.

Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation or equivalent preferred.

A good understanding of financial, legal, and tax implications, and skills to manage the various aspects of equity compensation programs preferred

Vendor management experience a plus

Strong understanding of US employment laws and regulations.

Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems.

Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
