The Director of Trade Marketing will lead the implementation of a Trade Promotion Management (“TPM”) tool and integrate new processes between the sales department and support functions within the organization. They will build a long-term strategy and run day-to-day trade promotional plans, converting trade knowledge into market opportunities and providing input into marketing programs. They will lead pricing architecture, trade promotional strategy and management. They will ensure that the product portfolio exceeds commercial sales and profit targets, including recommending promotional and product changes based on local market intelligence and the identification of new product opportunities as markets develop. They will provide sales forecasting for operations including planning, development and leading execution of reporting and analytics for sales and senior management including third party sources (e.g. IRI), overseeing customer profitability, and assisting in developing Sales and Gross Profit budgets.
\nEssential Duties:
\n\nCreate and implement trade marketing strategies that align with business objectives, and drive increased product distribution, in-store visibility, and brand equity.\nOversee the trade marketing budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to achieve the highest return on investment.\nTrack and evaluate the success of trade marketing initiatives by analyzing sales performance, ROI, and key metrics, adjusting strategies as necessary to maximize effectiveness.\nDevelop and manage trade promotional programs, including in-store promotions, digital couponing, Instant Redeemable Coupon (“IRC”) campaigns, and customer-specific initiatives to increase product velocity and market share across channels.\nPartner with sales teams and retailers to ensure effective execution of promotions, product launches, and merchandising initiatives in stores.\nWork closely with the sales team to understand customer profitability across all channels providing appropriate suggestions for improvement.\nOther duties as assigned. \n\nQualifications:
\n\nBachelor’s degree required \n7+ years of responsibility for trade spending management and analysis \n3+ years successfully leading and developing teams. Demonstrated leadership profile and strong communications skills to champion both strategic goals and delivery of short-term financial goals\n3+ years of experience in beverage, dairy or CPG environment.\nStrong analytical skills, with a proven track record of recommending and implementing business opportunities based on synthesizing data / consumer insights\nStrong understanding of finance and managing P&L’s\nDemonstrated expertise analyzing large amounts of data and trends\nExpert knowledge of syndicated data (IRI/Neilsen) and trade management software programs.\nIn-depth understanding of trade marketing/sales activation/retail execution to have a positive commercial impact \nAbility to work in a cross functional and matrix environment\nExpert knowledge of excel and power point\nMust be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends and holidays.\n\nCorporate Summary:
