Director of Wealth R&D

Role Overview:

The Managing Director of Wealth R&D will provide strategic leadership in building and executing the firm's new Wealth Management segment. This leader will oversee and deliver end-to-end solutions for the three core priorities: Privates for Wealth, Global Family Office/Private Bank for Wealth, and AI/Data Management/Portfolio Analytics for Wealth. The Managing Director will work directly with the Director of Wealth Segment R&D to define strategy, assemble project teams, and execute critical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the strategic direction and operational execution of the Wealth R&D function, including partnerships, resource allocation, and project oversight.Drive innovation and delivery of Privates for Wealth solutions, integrating internal and partner platforms.Develop and implement strategies for Global Family Office/Private Bank offerings, focusing on client reporting, performance, trust accounting, and custody solutions.Spearhead AI/Data/Portfolio Analytics initiatives to support wealth segment user groups with advanced tools and insights.Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including strategic implementation partners, to ensure alignment and successful project execution.Oversee budget planning and resource allocation for strategic priorities.Build and mentor a high-performing team, including Vice Presidents and additional hires and cross organization teams as needed, to deliver the segment's mandate.

Qualifications:

15+ years of experience in wealth management, investment management, with a proven track record of innovation and execution.Deep understanding of wealth management priorities, including privates, family offices, and data-driven solutions.Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.Expertise in project management, business strategy, and financial technology integration.Proven expertise in technology-driven wealth management solutions: Demonstrated hands-on experience in overseeing technology integration.Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, APIs, and end-to-end solution design for wealth management systems.Deep technical knowledge of data systems and integration:  Ability to guide teams in integrating data from disparate sources into cohesive platforms for reporting, analytics, and operational efficiencies.Experience in leading proof-of-concept initiatives: Ability to evaluate, pilot, and scale technical solutions for wealth management challenges, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term strategy.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a consultative approach to problem-solving.

Salary Range:

$170,000 - $267,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
