Position Overview

The Director of West Clinical Operations will report to the SVP of Clinical Field Operations and will be responsible for the daily execution of clinical programs and ensuring their overall clinical and financial performance. This role will provide strategic direction, leadership, and data-driven decision-making to ensure the success of clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities

The Director of West Clinical Operations will have the following responsibilities:

Overall accountability for individual market-level clinical teams—all clinical teams within each market will report directly to this role.Ensure clinical performance meets KPIs for medical management, quality engagement, and accurate/timely documentation. Develop and implement remediation plans as necessary.Strategize and implement initiatives to enhance clinical efficiency in daily team operations.Develop and execute new strategies to support value-based care programs and opportunities.Lead the development of clinical teams, including hiring, performance management, and professional growth opportunities.Collaborate with provider practices participating in Care at Home ACOs, ensuring that the team supports medical practices in achieving financial and quality goals.

The Director of West Clinical Operations will have the following key duties:

Leadership: Provide overall leadership for clinical teams, ensuring strong people management and performance oversight.Strategy: Identify and execute clinical and business strategies to enhance outcomes for Family Members and provider practices.Collaboration: Partner with various Care at Home departments, including HCE, finance, reporting, and business leaders, as well as provider practice leaders to ensure seamless integration.Knowledge: Serve as a subject matter expert in clinical care for Family Members, with expertise in home-based care, Value-Based Care, HEDIS & Stars, documentation, coding, and medical practice principles.Culture: Foster a productive, collaborative, safe, and inclusive work environment for all clinical team members.

Required Qualifications

The Director of West Clinical Operations should meet the following qualifications:

Education & Experience:

Master’s degree in Nursing or a related science field.NP or PA preferred.5+ years of clinical leadership experience; community healthcare experience preferred.Experience with Medicare/Medicaid is a must.

The working environment and physical requirements of the job include:

In-office work (minimum three days per week) is performed indoors in a traditional office setting with conditioned air, artificial light, and an open workspace.

In this position you will need an to communicate with customers, vendors, management, and other co-workers in person and over devices, sometimes with people who are agitated. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods is common. Must be able to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Lifting of up to 10 lbs. occasionally may be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers, and FAX machines. Good reasoning ability is important. Able to understand and utilize management reports, memos, and other documents to conduct business.
