Job Summary:
The Director Operations is responsible for the overall management and supervision of the whole production process ensuring that the quality of products is consistent complying with JJ standards and drive efficient production of enough product quantities to keep pace with market demand.
The Director Operations implements processes that both minimize production costs and waste and maximizes production outputs. The operations Director oversees the documentation of all operations to ensure that consistent, efficient workflows are in place, yielding optimal productivity and performance.
The Director provides strategic direction and leadership to operations managers, exempt and non exempt personnel who resolve issues and refine processes related to the manufacturing of site products and to the transition of approved new product designs to full-scale production, and Environmental Hygiene and Safety


Responsibilities:
• Provides general direction to managers, exempt specialists and non-exempt support in various areas, groups and/or operations to achieve operational goals and commitments.
• Keeps the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action.
• Makes and executes operational decisions with a strategic perspective.
• Coordinates across functional areas, business units, to achieve company or area goals
• Demonstrates effective change leadership, fostering a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
• Builds strategic partnerships to further departmental and organizational objectives.
• Interacts internally and externally with executive level management, outside regulatory agencies, customers, vendors and/or suppliers.
• Utilizes technical/professional knowledge and skills to establish, interpret and execute company policies in a major segment of the company.
• Monitors and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO and OSHA regulations, etc.).
• Focusing on preventing issues and using a systematic approach.
• Directs and controls the activities and budget of one or more manufacturing areas, product groups and/or operations.
• Develops and articulates a strategic vision for areas of responsibility. Leads assigned departments by developing, communicating, and building consensus for goals and programs that support the business units, site, division, and company objectives.

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required, Advanced degree preferred
• 12 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Spanish fluency required
• Experience leading a large manufacturing operation required
• Large scale supervisory experience required
• Highly regulated industry experience required
