Job Summary
Responsible for providing overall technical direction and administration to facilities maintenance personnel, ensuring repair and maintenance activities are efficient, effective, and aligned with organizational goals. This role also oversees safety and security functions, ensuring regulatory compliance and the safety of personnel and facilities. Additionally, responsible for the coordination, organization, planning, and implementation of policies and procedures relating to business and the fiscal aspects for several departments including but not limited to Facilities, Environmental Services, Food Service, Security.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Assures standardization of operations within defined regional area, aligned with system wide strategic priorities. Researches and implements new directives for business growth. Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration. Creates clarity and sets expectations with regards to ambulatory clinic optimization assuring standardized approach to attaining defined operational metrics. Engage staff and providers to promote team building and collaboration and contribute to the success of the clinics quality, fiscal, employee and patient experience. Represents Facilities, Plant Operations and Safety/Security Departments in all leadership, corporate, quality and accreditation meetings.Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or related field. 7 to 10 years in a progressive management position in a healthcare setting with a focus on program development, provider relations, marketing or in an Operations Specialist position. Current Michigan driver’s license and proof of valid automobile insurance. Insurable under McLaren’s insurance program. Must possess and consistently use excellent communication skills and teamwork problem-solving skills in order to develop relationships with regional providers. Experience in specific department (Primary Care, Ortho/Neuro/Cardio, Medical/Surgical or Access) clinical operations.Preferred:
Master’s degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or related field. Previous managerial experience in physician-hospital practice integration and applicable program development. Experience in strategic planning, marketing, sales, networking and affiliations, physician practice development, referral base development, or outreach programs in health care is highly preferred. Six years of experience in a facilities operations/maintenance role plus four years of hospital/healthcare/medical facilities and/or support services experience requiredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent oral and written communication skills required with the ability to interact professionally and lead staff to attain clinic objectives Experience with problem solving, and financial analysis Ability to organize, prioritize and delegate effectively Knowledge of state and federal laws that govern the operation of clinics Ability to use Excel spreadsheets and other Microsoft Office software programs Familiarity with AHCA, Joint Commission, Life Safety Codes and other Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
