THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE The Director of Operations Strategy & Analytics is responsible for driving the Operations Dept strategic direction and annual business planning through the conduction of market assessments, identifying trends, and proposing future capabilities aligned with enterprise goals. They identify gaps and support cross-functional initiatives to improve operational excellence, drive top line sales and bottom-line profitability. They drive prioritization and unify operations department roadmaps for each function, oversee data-driven insights, and act as a liaison for enterprise initiatives. They oversee the ops initiatives strategy, business intelligence and analytics teams. Their leadership shapes Ulta Beauty’s success in a dynamic and collaborative environment. YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY: Lead external market and competitive landscape assessments as well as internal evaluation to inform department strategy and investment prioritization Identify trends within the organization as well as the retail operations and services industries to anticipate the needs of the business, guests and associates Develop proposals for future capabilities that consider enterprise and store operations strategies, and determine the ROI related to those capabilities Collaborate and influence across departments to identify growth and operational efficiency opportunities that can be solved through operations dept. led initiatives Guide the prioritization, development and maintenance of one roadmap across all operations functions Lead Ops Analytics team to deliver results and insights to support data-proven strategies Drive vision and oversee corporate and field facing reporting optimization strategy, development and infrastructure for stores, field leaders, and corporate retail operations partners Act as a key liaison with the corporate strategy team for enterprise initiatives that need operations leadership representation THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS Bachelor’s degree, or 7-10 years of equivalent experience Experience Previous work with corporate strategy, analytics, project management preferred Skills Expert level verbal and written communication skills Expert collaboration and interpersonal skills Proven expert level organizational skills with the analytical ability to problem-solve, multi-task, and prioritize effectively Energy, enthusiasm, and drive to continuously and proactively manage a heavy workload Expert computer skills, including, but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS Ability to work a flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to travel, including overnight stays WORKING CONDITIONS Normal office demands Visit stores to develop an understanding of the store experience and collaborate with field partners 6 days per month in-office in Bolingbrook, IL or Chicago, IL #LI-JR #LI-Hybrid The pay range for this position is $140,000.00 - $196,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
