Director Orthopedics Unit

Find your purpose and make a difference leading our Orthopedic Unit at St. Cloud Hospital. This role focuses on leadership, staff relations, and retention, partnering with co-leaders to establish policies, allocate resources, and enhance service delivery. It strengthens regional outreach, ensures compliance with regulations, and promotes patient-centered care. Key responsibilities include fostering open communication, improving care standards, and driving continuous improvement. The leader supports staff development through training, performance evaluations, and career growth opportunities, while addressing turnover and promoting a healthy work environment. They ensure collaboration across departments and maintain a positive, team-oriented atmosphere to sustain workforce satisfaction and enhance overall organizational performance.

Schedule Details:

Full-time | 80 hours every two weeks Primarily Monday – Friday, hours typically between 7:30am – 4:30pm Occasional early and late hours dependent on department/organizational need On-site position, working at St. Cloud Hospital

Pay and Benefits (Total Rewards):

Exempt role, pay based on experience Full-time benefit eligible | Benefits Guide Retirement with matching, up to 7.5%

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in nursing required Master’s Degree in business, management, nursing, or clinical related fields preferred Registered Nurse (RN) current licensure in the State of Minnesota required At least 2 years of progressive leadership experience and demonstrated success in business plan development, clinical business operations, performance improvement program development, growth and staff, and patient and family satisfaction required Demonstrated success in business plan development Strong clinical business operations and performance improvement experience Certification in an area of specialty preferred

Department Information:

Our Orthopedic Unit has 29-beds and provides care for a wide range of orthopedic conditions affecting children and adults such as joint replacements, sports medicine, and fractures resulting from an accident or other trauma.
