Job Description
Provides operational and strategic leadership for Patient Access activities in support of the system's mission and values. Oversees teams that obtain and validate the patient clinical, demographic and insurance information needed to authorize care and properly submit claims for reimbursement. Collaborates with Patient Accounts, IS&T, physician practices and other operational departments to direct registration, verification, authorization, and other Patient Access activities assigned. Functions as a system resource and role model for Patient Access functions. Collaborates as needed with other leaders and teams related to scheduling, admissions, pre-certification, authorization, and financial assistance/charity. Proactively supports the delivery of safe patient care and services at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.Experience
5+ years of management experience in health care Patient Access areas responsible for registration, scheduling, data verification and/or other financial clearance responsibilitiesPreferred Qualifications
Masters of Business AdministrationExperience with Epic Patient Access and Revenue Cycle applicationsKnowledge of health care Revenue Cycle functions outside Patient AccessEducation
