Since 1991, Texas Health Plano has served the communities of Plano, Frisco, Carrollton, Addison, Richardson and McKinney. We’re a 386-bed, full-service hospital serving North Texas with incredible care and amazing people.
We specialize in emergency medicine and trauma, cardiology, neurosurgery and spine, advanced orthopedics, women’s services, adult and adolescent behavioral health, an adult intensive care unit and state of the art and technologically advanced surgical services. Plus, we’re a Level II Trauma Facility, the only health care facility in Collin County to have achieved both the Level IV NICU and Level IV Maternal facility designation and have a DNV-certified Comprehensive Stroke Program.
Texas Health Plano is a four-time Magnet-designated hospital, the only AACN Beacon Gold adult intensive care unit in the DFW area, accredited by the Joint Commission in Hip and Knee Replacement and a Primary Heart Attack Center. **Job Description**
Pharmacy Operations
Responsible for ensuring that all pharmacy operations are conducted within limits of all local, state and federal regulatory standards and accreditation compliance.
Human Resources
Direct personnel functions for the department, including hiring, firing, counseling, career pathway and salary administration. Seek and retain personnel with the qualifications and competence to support and skill level required and the goals established for the departments.
Collaborates to provide in-services and educational opportunities to increase knowledge and ability to provide the highest service available.
Supervise the various levels of licensed and non-licensed personnel in the department within the functions of the shared leadership for organized management structure.
Quality/Safety/Regulatory
Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of optimal pharmaceutical care.
Maintain intradepartmental and agency relationships and communications to foster a service attitude.
Financial Management and Planning
Develop and implement business plans and strategies to meet organizational goals.
Participate on hospital or medical staff committees, and THR committees to identify patient care requirement and staffing needs; to plan and implement recruitment strategies; and to determine long range plans for delivery programs, facilities, equipment and human resources.
Collaborate with designated hospital and system leaders in preparation and subsequent monitoring of the annual operating and capital expense budget of the pharmacy.
**Education**
Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy required
Pharm.D., MBA or MHA preferred
**Experience**
5 years hospital pharmacist experience is required
Progressive leadership experience or residency experience preferred
**Licenses and Certifications**
PHAR - Pharmacist required upon hire
**Skills**
Knowledge of financial analysis, planning, hospital operations and computer. Ability to work as a member of a team, to lead, learn and be creative. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
