Job Posting TitleDirector Pharmacy Practice - RemoteJob DescriptionThe Director of Pharmacy Practice leads a Regulatory team across a given business function. The responsibilities align to a regulatory domain responsible for leading the review, impact assessment, and drafting of comments for proposed regulatory and legislative items that impact pharmacy operations. The individual is a representative of the business division, Operations, Business Development and Account Management. Collaborates with Payer Relations, Compliance, Pharmacy Operations, Legal and Quality departments.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and oversight identifies and resolves complex multi-dimensional problems within Pharmacy and develops solutions to highly complex compliance problems by referring to precedence, policies, and standard operating procedures; escalate issues to Compliance and Legal leadership as appropriate and enhance or develop new supporting documentation as necessaryPartner with Compliance and Legal on laws and regulatory issues that impact Prime’s compliance programs or Board of Pharmacy and Department of Insurance filings; document requirements or disciplinary actions and respond to findings as appropriateRepresents the Pharmacy Department on complex contracts or cross-functional projects; identifies key stakeholders from across the enterprise and establishes effective collaboration techniques to maintain ongoing partnership between functionsOversee and manage a portfolio of legislative, regulatory, and industry standard items; ensure department leadership and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) have a solid understanding of scope, deliverables, and deadlines associated with actionable itemsCollaborate with impacted operational stakeholders to draft position statements and/or comments for proposed Federal and State regulatory or legislative itemsExecutes compliance procedures and enforces policy governance across the organization to validate regulatory reporting requirements are met and that business operations are aligned with expectations of applicable regulatory guidanceDrive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the processes are evolving to support efficiency, accuracy, and effectivenessSet team direction by establishing goals and objectives that are aligned to enterprise priorities and managing the team to these defined outputsDevelops departmental plans, including business, production and/or organizational prioritiesOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science Pharmacy DegreeCurrent pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy in the State where the position is located.7 years of work experience in clinical, retail, hospital, or managed care to include 5 years of experience in regulatory, compliance, quality, and audits.5 years of leadership/people management experienceAdditional Qualifications
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to a wide range of audiencesAbility to collaborate effectively across departments and at all levels within the organizationCross-functional experience in regulatory rolesProject management experienceLeadership experience in a related rolePreferred Qualifications
Previous experience developing and overseeing Project Management, Training and/or Quality ProgramsPrior PBM, health plan, or health care experienceFamiliarity with contract language and risk mitigation conceptsPrevious experience with strategy development and management experience in a matrixed organizational structureMinimum Physical Job Requirements
