About the Role
As the Director of Port Services Procurement, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and managing international sources of supply for essential port services.
You will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, and driving cost efficiencies while ensuring the highest levels of service and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic procurement plan for port services, optimizing costs and service quality.
Lead supplier engagement, including vendor selection, contract negotiations, and performance management.
Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Collaborate with Port Operations, Procurement Teams, and Sourcing Specialists to align procurement strategies with business needs.
Oversee contract compliance and ensure service providers meet performance expectations.
Conduct market analysis to identify new sourcing opportunities and drive cost-effective solutions.
Manage cross-functional teams to execute procurement projects and enhance supplier relationships.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management.
2+ years of experience in Port Services
Proven track record in supplier negotiations, performance measurement, and contract management.
Experience with automated purchasing systems (MXP, SAP preferred).
Strong ability to engage with multiple stakeholders across business divisions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Procure-to-Pay systems (Ariba preferred).
