Director Product Line Management

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

The Director of Product Line Management will work with a cross-functional global team of product managers, sales, engineers, and operations, overseeing the development, launch, and growth of our DCOs and advanced coherent components focused on cloud operators. Key responsibilities include:

Developing and executing the product design win strategy and roadmap aligning with Transmissiosn BU and the company's vision, mission, and goals Leading business case preparations to drive NPI to execute on roadmap planning and strategy  Managing the product life cycle, from ideation to end-of-life Leading global cross-functional teams and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, such as sales, engineering, support, operations, supply chain finance, legal, and partners  Understanding short and long term competitive threats to product line and driving technology and operational improvement plans to mitigate the financial impact of these threats Communicating the product vision, value proposition, and roadmap to internal and external audiences, including senior management, sales, customers, and partners Mentoring, coaching, and developing the product line management team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity

Experience

At least 10 years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of launching and scaling successful coherent transceivers in the cloud and hyperscale markets.  Deep knowledge of the Coherent Telecommunications Industry Strong technical and market experience in coherent networking driving key product launces and design wins in cloud market space  10+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation. Demonstrated track record of managing and growing a business or product line to >$100M in revenue based on successful introduction of new products. Strong technical background and ability to communicate effectively with engineers, designers, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate has experience of the key technologies used in micro-optic devices and modules Strategic thinker with a proven ability to integrate and lead diverse corporate cultures while delivering results.. Experience in Long-Range Business Planning and Forecasting with a demonstrated track record of achieving forecasted and budgeted results. Expertise in user research, data analysis, and product strategy. Passionate about technology, innovation, and customer satisfaction. Demonstrated track record of building long term relationships with customers, suppliers, and other functional organizations  Strong organizational, human resource management, and planning skills. International business experience. Experience in Technology and Product Strategy to drive Roadmap planning

Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile, and dynamic environment, perform under stress, and be a team player.

Education

B.S. in a science or engineering field. MBA is a plus.

 

Working Conditions

Remote work is possible but on site is preferred 

Travel of greater than 25% will be required.
