About the Role
 

This role involves leading a group of around 15 customer program managers and overseeing the entire SBU development and production within a global matrix organization of 600 experts.

The Connectivity Programs you will manage are classified as A+ complexity projects. These products consist of 41 variants, which will be produced in three different locations in Hungary (SZ, PECS) and Mexico (QRO). The brands involved include VW, AUDI, PORSCHE, NUTZIS, SEAT, and SKODA.

Additionally, the program encompasses multiple suppliers around the globe. As the primary customer liaison for this project, you will be responsible for establishing multiple program goals, balancing profit with quality performance and timing, and managing launch risks and change management from the launch phase through to stable production.

The second responsibility will be steering all RFQ within our organization.


Your Team

Your core team is composed of Program Managers, each tasked with developing and launching a compelling product that satisfies both internal and external customer needs while enhancing customer satisfaction.

The objective of your team is to deliver a product portfolio aligned with development milestones, transitioning into stable production and achieving operating profit over the program's lifecycle.

The Project teams include additional pillars of sales, design, product sourcing, manufacturing, and quality assurance. As part of our leadership, we are dedicated to developing the skills of your Program Managers, preparing them for future management roles within our organization.

What You Will Do

Form a Program Management team tasked with developing and launching a product or service portfolio.Establish program goals and strategies for effective internal and external communication.Oversee the execution of the program portfolio with comprehensive responsibility.Ensure the portfolio's delivery is in alignment with agreed-upon targets concerning schedule, BOM costs, budget, and quality.Balance the triple cost, timing, and quality constraints to meet program objectives.Manage changes and risks associated with the portfolio during its development and launch process.Oversee Scope Management, which includes internal and external CCBs.Actively support the sales pursuit team during the RFI/RFQ phase by guiding feasibility studies, defining product performance specifications, and preparing offer documentation.Engage in top-level planning and control related to schedules and budgets.Maintain close technical coordination with functional departments.Conduct regular meetings with the OEM customer to discuss all aspects of technical status, program progress, and portfolio/product alignment.Initiate and maintain continuous cost improvement and value management activities.Implement defined value management measures and actively participate in generating ideas for cost-saving initiatives.Provide reports to customers internally, including the management board (CEO level).Continuously enhance the team’s program management skills and performance to maintain industry standards, especially in the area of software project management.Acts as a role model in terms of leadership and code of business conduct.Execute Product Life Cycle Processes within programs (Project Gating / Milestone Execution Plan) aligned with Harman PLM, automotive SPICE, and necessary safety (ASIL) levels.

What You Need

Bachelor of Science in a technical field or equivalent experience.Minimum 10 years of product development and/or program management experience with specific experience in multiple areas of technical specialization (software, hardware, mechanical, or manufacturing), preferably in an automotive application.Developed and launched several products through the lifecycle,e from business commitment through stable production.Expected general skills include, but are not limited to, cross-functional and international team leadership, arbitrating technical tradeoffs, problem-solving, negotiation, P&L understanding, and communication skills.Fundamental knowledge in terms of methodologies in project managementAbility to mediate between conflicting parties and to work under pressure.Fluent in Garman and English (written and verbal)
