This is a large-scale, fast paced program and the scope includes full engineering, procurement, construction, fit out, and commissioning. The Director Project Controls - Americas will work closely with all stakeholders to support the business review cadence and report project performance against the approved plan and guide functional initiatives. This role will be instrumental in providing an early indication of portfolio project performance and driving predictability in project results. The Director Project Controls - Americas will report directly to the General Manager of Product Controls. Other + Embody our Culture (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/about/corporate-values) and Values (https://careers.microsoft.com/us/en/culture) **Qualifications** Required/Minimum Qualifications: + Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in cost, planning, estimating or commercial project controls. + OR equivalent experience. + 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects + 2+ years field/construction experience Other Requirements + Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check every two years thereafter. Additional or Preferred Qualifications: + 10+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects (cost, planning, estimating, or commercial). + Deep understanding of the datacenter design build + Analytical capability to identify opportunities to optimize the cost and schedule. + Collaborative leadership approach + Ability to deal with ambiguity and exhibit agility + Team builder with ability to coach and mentor others + Growth mindset to promote scalability and efficiency. + Execution experience with proved track record: Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight of the project controls team scope. Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
