Director Provider Services - St Joseph Home Health - Irvine
**Description** The Director Physician Services will be part of a California-wide team that supports the recruitment, onboarding and compensation and benefit administration for our clinician workforce. This position will be responsible to coordinate, track and report on several essential processes required for a licensed clinician to practice in the clinic setting and will partner closely with multiple key stakeholder groups within the Providence organization to ensure a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for each candidate that will join the Providence Clinical Network. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** + Daily management of the physician recruitment & onboarding team for all of Orange County and High Desert. + First line of support and point of contact for all escalated with current recruitment and onboarding. + Performance management and metric tracking of department performance. + Continuous improvement of team and process including spread of best practice standards across Orange County and High Desert. + In partnership with Strategy and Medical group Operations, participate and lead in developing and executing both short-term and long-term strategic physician growth plans. + Develop and foster tight partnerships and working relationships with PS&D and other Shared Services involved with the recruitment and onboarding processes across Providence. + Assist in providing direction and connection with our professional liability & risk management insurance carrier (The Doctor’s Company) for provider liability issues, including patient grievances. + Serves as a key partner to the leader(s) of physician compensation design, implementation and strategies. + Works with the Medical Staff and leadership team to develop, implement and sustain effective Physician Retention programs. + Works closely with each Integrated Delivery Systems & Executive Leadership Teams across CA to further strengthen collaboration between Medical Groups and Hospital Leadership. Participates in Multiple Leadership Committees. + Additional Responsibilities: + Highly organized and detail-oriented individual (required) + Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (required) + Experience with Microsoft products including WORD, Excel, Power Point (preferred) + Experience in the ambulatory/outpatient health care setting (preferred) **QUALIFICATIONS** + Bachelor's Degree; or equivalent education/experience + Licenses/certifications may be required in addition to the above qualifications depending on the job responsibility and direct reports + 10 or more years of job-related experience + 8 years of progressively responsible leadership experience, including at least 5 years directly responsible supervisory experience. + Experience with physician recruitment and onboarding highly preferred **About Providence** At Providence, our strength lies in Our Promise of “Know me, care for me, ease my way.” Working at our family of organizations means that regardless of your role, we’ll walk alongside you in your career, supporting you so you can support others.
