Assists in the direction and management of Contracting, Sourcing, Procurement and Capital Acquisitions as it relates to Supply Chain functions for DCH Health System

Responsibilities Assists with the strategic development and tactical execution of the Supply Chain Vision for DCH. Responsible for managing the contract workflow to ensure timely review, execution and retention of contracts, to include all GPO, national, and local agreements.Serves as a liaison between requesting department, legal and the supplier for contract renewal, negotiation, execution and problem resolution.  Collaborates with legal counsel and other experts to review all supply and equipment contracts to ensure the terms and conditions of each contract are acceptable, stated accurately, and are in line with the hospital’s policies and procedures.Serves as a resource for contract interpretation, including pricing and terms and conditions. Provides data as needed on all existing contracts, including monitoring and reporting outcomes.Coordinates with organization stakeholders to plan, evaluate and execute capital equipment needs/purchases.Develops requests for proposal, coordinates vendor responses, and leads objective and structured assessment.  Effectively negotiates with approved vendors to maximize cost reduction opportunities using internal and external pricing information and performance benchmarks.  Maintains effective supplier relationships in coordination with key strategic initiatives.  Provides strategic oversight to ensure timely procurement of supplies, capital equipment and services.Manages and develops protocols concerning order processing, product and supplier selection, backorders, invoice discrepancy, and resolution processes.Supports the value analysis process.Optimizes GPO contracts and coordinates vendor management. Works to identify sourcing, standardization and direct magnitude of supply cost saving opportunitiesAssists in the vendor selection, evaluation, and analysis process to ensure that products and services are cost effective and of the highest quality.

Qualifications

Education / Experience:

Bachelors’ Degree preferredMinimum three years of working in a hospital Supply Chain departmentMinimum three years in a leadership roleUnderstanding of the source to pay process and impact procurement has within the supply chain cycle

WORKING CONDITIONS

Sitting for 50% of the workday and mobility 50% of the workday. Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.  There is frequent use of hands/repetitive action.  Occasional lifting or carrying up to 30 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.Need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.  Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
