**The Opportunity**
The Director of Quality Assurance will be tasked with leading and growing a global team to meet the needs of our scaling business. This position is based in our Alameda, CA headquarters.
**What You’ll Work On**
+ Responsible for the success of global quality functions across multiple disciplines.
+ Interacts with senior management and external agencies/regulators concerning matters of significance to the company.
+ Review, evaluate, and submit medical complaints and any other Potentially Reportable Events (PREs) in order to comply with the regulatory reporting requirements of Regulatory Authorities worldwide (e.g., US FDA Medical Device Reporting Regulations, Canadian Medical Devices Regulations, European Community Medical Devices Vigilance System, Australia Therapeutic Goods Amendment on Medical Devices, and Japan Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) on Medical Devices and on Drugs).
+ Conducts business and technical briefings for senior management and for external representatives.
+ Responsible for leading multiple quality system elements.
+ Implements the quality plan in accordance with the quality objectives and goals.
+ Determines staffing and other resource requirements needed to achieve business goals and compliance requirements.
+ Directs complex global cross-functional process improvements.
+ Responsible for ensuring functional areas of responsibility have adequate training programs for adhering to all safety requirements and business EHS goals.
+ Develops quality goals based on the business strategies and aligns with other functions in the organization as well as alignment with Corporation.
+ Establishes and implements necessary communication strategies for the improvement and awareness of quality improvements.
+ Responsible for department financials and developing cost improvement ideas and strategies.
**Required Qualifications**
+ BS degree required.
+ Minimum 10 years’ experience in a quality or related field required.
+ Minimum 6 years direct management experience required.
+ Demonstrated extensive experience with Domestic and International regulatory requirements and regulating bodies required.
+ Ability to travel Internationally.
+ Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to create momentum and deliver excellent results.
+ Strong project management, team skills, and influential management.
+ Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
+ Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results.
+ Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.
+ Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
+ Manages multiple tasks and projects, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
+ Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable.
+ Values and embraces inclusion and diversity of team membership.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ MS degree preferred.
+ Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model preferred.

The base pay for this position is $169,300.00 – $338,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
