The Director, Restaurant Performance will lead the strategy, implementation, and management of restaurant systems and standards, technology solutions and equipment that drive efficiency, enhance guest experience, and optimize restaurant operations. The position is focused on driving, innovating and leveraging technology to streamline operations execution, maximizing labor efficiency and increasing profitability for Arby’s restaurants.
They will be responsible for maintaining close working relationships with IT, Marketing, Learning, OI, Commercial Services, Supply Chain, Field and Franchisee Leadership to align strategy and priorities for the team and their projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Restaurant Design & Standards
Create and refine restaurant design and layout standards to optimize operational efficiency and customer experience.Ensure compliance with brand guidelines, safety regulations, and industry best practices.Design kitchen and front-of-house layouts that improve service flow, employee productivity, and guest experience.Lead the development and iteration of prototype store layouts for new builds and remodels.Standardize equipment packages and specifications to streamline purchasing and installation.Technology & Equipment Strategy
Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for restaurant technology and equipment, aligning with business objectives.Research and evaluate emerging technologies and equipment to enhance operational efficiency and guest experience.Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to implement best-in-class solutions.Restaurant Technology Implementation & Support
Oversee the deployment and optimization of POS systems, digital ordering platforms, kitchen display systems (KDS), and payment technologies.Ensure the integration of restaurant technology with enterprise systems, loyalty programs, and third-party delivery platforms.Lead troubleshooting, system updates, and vendor relationships to minimize downtime and optimize performance.Restaurant Equipment Management
Manage the selection, procurement, and maintenance of kitchen and restaurant equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with industry standards.Work closely with operations teams to assess equipment needs and ensure proper training for team members.Develop preventative maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan and reduce repair costs.Guest & Team Member Experience
Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction.Oversee guest experience programs and initiatives.Analyze feedback data to enhance overall experiences.Drive key metrics related to guest and employee satisfaction.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum: 4+yr degree or or equivalent experience
Minimum: 10+ years of operations experience working within a franchise organization.
Minimum: 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing people and processes
