Director Risk Management
Overview Expected pay for this position is $53.71 - $71.16/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. POSITION SUMMARY: The Director, Risk Management is responsible for managing the ministry-wide clinical (professional liability/medical malpractice) risk management program and leading the team of risk managers. As part of the ministry-wide interdisciplinary journey to zero preventable harm, the director will develop and execute on risk management initiatives that impact clinical operations across the continuum of care, with an eye to review and reduce medical errors and address other factors that contribute to unintended adverse patient outcomes and patient dissatisfaction. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, business or a related discipline or in a health care profession. Experience: Five (5) years of health care risk management experience. Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Thorough understanding of the elements and demands of health care risk management programs. Thorough understanding of the demands of health care risk management programs. The ability to analyze and use claim data and other information to reduce risk. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Master’s degree in health care administration, business or a related discipline or in a health care profession.
