Job SummaryThe Director, Social Media & Digital Content, is an integral leadership role in the Consumer Services Organization and reports directly to the VP of Customer Communications.
The Director, Social Media & Digital Content, will be responsible for leading the strategy, planning, execution, distribution, and digital reputation of our organic and influencer content. You will be supporting the brand by owning the content creation, calendar, and strategy for all our digital channels, from the web to social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok etc.) This role is responsible for leading dynamic social-first content that propels Optimum as a telecommunications industry leader that stands out from the rest, with a clear strategy for building brand awareness, customer acquisition, customer retention, customer revenue growth, drive traffic to our site, while continually elevating the aesthetic and voice of Optimum’s social and overall digital presence.
The Director, Social Media & Digital Content, has hands-on experience developing and executing B2C integrated marketing campaigns. A creative thinker and decision-maker who is comfortable simultaneously operating at a high strategic level while also leading a team. You will be responsible for the development and continuous evolution of all marketing assets through all social media and digital channels. Works collaboratively with multi-functional teams to support company goals, customer acquisition, customer retention, and customer revenue growth.
•Develop the social media content strategy for all Optimum social channels, to increase engagement, brand awareness, organic social following, and retention. (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok etc.)
•Create content calendar for monthly and quarterly planning, scheduling, and execution, for social channels, with input and KPIs from cross functional teams
•You will be the creative director for all omni-channel/integrated marketing promotional content, campaigns, paid media, social media posts, photo/video shoots
•Establish and track KPIs for each social platform based on previous performance and expected performance and communicate performance goals and results to stakeholders regularly. Revise plans based on performance, insights, and implications.
•Develop influencer marketing strategy and KPIs by identifying potential partnerships with individual influencers (+micro/macro) and potential brand partnerships.
•Review existing social listening/community management process including Optimum Help channels and develop new ways to manage social activity and customer service practices.
•Manage social media agency relationship and strategy to ensure brand alignment, met goals, social post cadence, voice, etc.
•Be up to date on all available products, promotions, launches, brand news, under the Optimum brands + Suddenlink.
•Follow TV, film, and entertainment, trends and scheduling, and mobile product trends to include in content strategy planning and creation.
•Stay in the know of social media trends, emerging platforms, and available tools for businesses (conferences, trainings, network events, etc.)
•Liaise with PR/Comms team to ensure, purpose led events, holidays, cultural diversity, and inclusion are represented and celebrated through content and marketing efforts. (International Women’s Day, Pride Month, Black History Month, etc.)
•Work with brand team to develop persona for social media voice and digital reputation and ensure brand image, values, pillars, and purpose are present.
•Work with internal creative production team and external agencies/partners to create engaging content (photo, video, written copy, campaigns, etc.)

Qualifications•8-10 years min. of experience in a social media management/leadership role, with a focus on content creation and content strategy.
•Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related relevant fields; MBA or relevant master’s degree (preferred).
•An exceptional multimedia storyteller, with a keen understanding of the nuance and details that bring story and strategy to life in resonant ways.
•Strong awareness of cultural trends relevant to our target audience.
•Demonstrated ability in developing and executing best-in-class social media, and influencer strategies for a consumer brand.
•Thorough knowledge of various social media platforms.
•A deep passion for social media and influencer marketing: loves keeping abreast of the latest trends and innovative brand executions.
•Strong knowledge and experience of analytics within native social media and third-party ad platforms, dashboards, influencer platforms, brand listening tools, and Google Analytics, with proven ability to make recommendations based on performance.
•Excellent project management, written communication, decision-making, and leadership skills.
•Experience overseeing social community management and engagement.
•Exceptionally strong copywriting and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and information clearly.
•Experience working on events, photo, and video shoots – art directing, producing, and concepting.
•You’re a team player armed with a positive attitude who takes pride in being able to work well with others.
•Can build presentations appropriate for executive audiences and present a compelling story behind the data.
•Demonstrated experience collaborating and influencing colleagues in a highly matrixed cross functional and senior environment.
•Ability to work under limited supervision, in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, maintaining high quality, accuracy and consistency of deliverables.
•Results oriented leader with ability to develop and communicate big-picture vision and strategy, and deliver results through practical, disciplined execution. Demonstrated success in developing strategies and roadmaps that directly led to measurable business results.
•Ability to hire, scale, and develop a high-performing team that continuously delivers market driven strategies and cross-collaborates for its execution.
•Understanding of the media and telecommunications industries, with awareness of consumer trends, the competitive landscape and most up to date best practices in the field.

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $141,372.00 - $232,254.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
