**Job Summary** : As a Senior Software System Architect, you will be a key leader in our engineering team, responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and efficient software architectures. This role requires extensive experience and expertise in embedded systems, cloud computing, connectivity solutions, platform engineering, SDK/API lifecycle management, and layered software architecture. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions and drive our technological vision forward.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ **Leadership and Management** : Lead large teams and manage multiple projects, providing strategic planning and direction. Mentor and develop engineers and future leaders within the organization.
+ **Strategic Vision and Planning** : Contribute to the company’s strategic direction by setting technical vision and aligning engineering goals with business objectives.
+ **Operational Management** : Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and process improvement to ensure efficient and effective engineering operations.
+ **Cross-Functional Collaboration** : Collaborate with product management, marketing, sales, and other departments to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
+ **Design and Development** : Lead the design and development of software architectures that meet the needs of complex systems and applications, focusing on embedded systems, cloud integration, connectivity, platform engineering, and layered software architecture.
+ **Architectural Standards** : Define and document architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices for embedded systems, cloud-based solutions, and platform engineering.
+ **Stakeholder Management** : Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical feasibility. Present to executive leadership and manage external partnerships.
+ **Technology Evaluation** : Lead the evaluation and selection of software technologies, tools, and frameworks, particularly those related to embedded systems, cloud platforms, connectivity protocols, and platform engineering.
+ **Integration Oversight** : Oversee the integration of software components, ensuring seamless interoperability, performance, and security across embedded devices, cloud services, and platform layers.
+ **SDK/API Lifecycle Management** : Manage the lifecycle of SDKs and APIs, including design, development, documentation, and maintenance.
+ **Architectural Reviews** : Conduct architectural reviews and provide expert guidance to development teams on best practices for embedded systems, cloud connectivity, platform engineering, and layered software architecture.
+ **Risk Management** : Identify and mitigate technical risks and challenges throughout the software development lifecycle, particularly those related to embedded systems, cloud integration, and platform engineering.
+ **Emerging Technologies** : Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage.
+ **Performance Metrics** : Be accountable for key performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
+ **Cultural Fit and Contribution** : Ensure alignment with the company’s culture and values, contributing positively to the organizational culture.
**Job Qualifications:**
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field. Ph. D preferred.
+ 10+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
+ Proven experience in embedded systems, cloud computing, and connectivity solutions.
+ Expertise in embedded systems, cloud platforms, connectivity protocols, and layered software architecture.
+ Strong understanding of FDA regulations regarding medical device software development.
+ Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
+ Proficiency in multiple programming languages and development frameworks.
+ Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects.
+ Experience in strategic planning and mentoring engineering talent.
+ Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
+ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
+ Ability to identify and mitigate technical risks.
+ Accountability for key performance metrics and driving continuous improvement.

**Salary Range Information**
$179,200.00 - $322,500.00 USD Annual
