About the Role
You will direct a team of Software Leads that is responsible for the execution and delivery of complex Intelligent Cockpit software projects. The Software Leads are the primary customer contact for the software function and are responsible for project managing the cross functional delivery of software for the assigned program. You will ensure that the Software Leads follow the process, lead the project change management, manage the software release to customer, software industrialization to factories and for service.
Your Team
Your team is made up of 5-10 Software Project Leads, Configuration Managers, and Defect Managers located within your region.
Your team is in responsible for the software execution of the projects for one or multiple OEMs (depending on the overall scope of projects).
What You Will Do
- Development & release to HARMAN and customer requirements
- Develop and execute project software plan to adhere to process
- Release to factory and lead effective change management
- Consider and implement software technical tradeoffs (cost, performance, design for manufacturing, and timing)Work together with Business Analysts (from the Regional Support Office) to identify and prioritize improvement areas in the different projects to optimize engineering costs and leverage synergies between projects.Responsible for career growth and technical skills enhancements for all Software Leads in your team.
What You Need
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.10+ years of overall professional experience in software development and delivery8+ years of experience in automotive project development5+ years in leading and/or project managing multi-national teams/resourcesProven expertise in developing complex systems from architecture to implementationProven ability to lead, mentor, and grow diverse teamsExperience in direct customer-facing rolesWhat is Nice to Have
Master's Degree in Engineering, MBAExperience leading software teams in the spaces such as infotainment, digital cockpit, ADAS, or similar systemsExperience about Japanese Automotive OEM cultureWhat Makes You Eligible
