The **Director of Staff Development, RN position** will be an expert at delivering variety of training and education to ensure staff compliance and development at our large Skilled Nursing /Assisted Living Senior Care Center (Jones-Harrison) in Minneapolis, MN. This Education position will have the ability and knowledge thatassistsstaff to work at their highest level of licensure withconfidenttoprovidequality, safety and accurate techniques to residents served.
This director position includes:
+ 80 hours every two weeks
+ Day shift

The Jones-Harrison community offers Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care with a beautiful view of Cedar Lake and pristine grounds. This community features 53 Assisted living, 9 memory care apartments, 120 skilled and long term care beds. **Responsibilities/Job Description**
+ Consults within and among departments as neededand within confines of position
+ Coordinates training programs for the facility
+ Supports cross continuum of quality efforts through organizational development
+ Maintain pertinent data around staff immunization tracking
+ Participates in theSafety Committee
+ Demonstrates dedication to employee engagement
+ Participate in on-call rotation(s), per facility policy
**Qualifications**
+ Required:
+ Current MN RN license or by start date
+ AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional RescuersPreferred:
+ Comfortable using Microsoft windows and electronic charting systems
+ ANACC Certification in Gerontology
+ Good written and verbal communication skills to get along with residents, families and physicians or providers
+ Ability to work with and have sensitivity to the needs of the geriatric population
