Schedule: Full Time Salary Exempt Position
Shift : Days, Monday through Friday 8a – 5p, no weekends /no call. There will driving between campuses daily. Millage will be reimbursed.

The role you’ll contribute:
The Director - Sterile Processing Multi-Campus provides administrative oversight and has comprehensive responsibility for directing all sterile processing activities for the AdventHealth Central Florida Division(CFD) – South. The Sterile Processing Managers from each campus have a direct reporting line to this role. This role is accountable for the development of standardized services, comprehensive policies and procedures, training programs and the overall safe management and delivery of instrumentation and equipment to clinical departments. Responsible for staffing standards, resource needs, and compliance with clinical and regulatory standards. Plans, organizes and manages all activities involved in the acquisition, decontamination, storage, sterilization and issuance of surgical and other related supplies, materials and equipment utilized in providing patient care. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
· Provides supervision, oversight and guidance to all sterile processing departments within the AdventHealth CFD-South. Collaborates with campus sterile processing leaders and Surgery Directors to ensure safe and adequate staffing patterns to complete sterile processing work according to guidelines.
· Rounds in all sterile processing departments on a regular basis to ensure adherence to standards and to assess environment and process work flow.
· Designs, establishes, and maintains an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the organization's goals and objectives; recruits, trains, supervises, and evaluates staff.
· Review and improve policies and procedures on an on-going basis. Serve on intra- and inter-departmental committees related to sterile processing and infection prevention.
· Establish and maintain sterilization, safety and security standards, policies and procedures for Sterile Processing to ensure compliance with AAMI, AORN, OSHA, CDC, EPA, FDA, Regulatory bodies, and state and local regulations.
· Assist in the determination of departmental fiscal requirements and prepare budgetary recommendations.
· Lead out in the planning of new sterile processing departments ensuring the most recent technology is utilized in the build out. Determine needs for centralized versus decentralized functions and departments as growth in Surgical Services occurs across the system.
· Develops and manages a quality assurance program for instrument processing and overall tray accuracy.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
· Strong organizational skills, with the ability to focus detailed concentrated efforts to multiple projects and re-establish priorities as necessary.
· Ability to effectively respond to time sensitive issues and meet deadlines.
· Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to tailor message to individuals and audiences throughout the institution.
· General knowledge of project management strategies and methods.
· Initiative and ability to work independently while thriving in a setting requiring collaboration and teamwork for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
· Strong attention to detail that ensures follow through on all initiatives implemented and projects taken.
· Organizational knowledge of all regulatory and professional standards that effect the operations in sterile processing
· Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, business, or nursing
· Three (3) years of leadership experience in a healthcare related field.
· Five (5) years’ experience in healthcare.
