MAJOR FUNCTION:
This position will lead Inspira’s distribution operations, transportation/courier/fleet operations, and OR surgical services operations in collaboration with clinical leadership. Responsible to develop the network supply chain strategy, implementation, organization, process, compliance and duties while optimizing inventory and product flow throughout the network. Manages transportation team with direct responsibility for shipment optimization, fleet performance, vehicle maintenance, activity-based reporting, licensing, warranties, insurance, registration, and day to day distribution/transportation operations. Develop courier and service provider strategies, and standardizing process and procedures for logistics operations. Develop and leverage relationships with suppliers to align with the strategic direction of the Health System while identifying and eliminating instances of waste, redundancy and other inefficiencies. Drive efficient and effective product receipt, storage, order fulfillment, and delivery operations through optimizing resources and processes while enabling achievement of the business’s safety, quality, cost and responsiveness. Ensures that storeroom operations run smoothly and provide prompt, efficient service to end users. Manages network team to ensure product quality, receipt, and budget objectives are met while striving to standardize equipment, services, and supplies across the network. Works closely with vendors and internal customers to achieve network goals and initiatives. Manages network freight programs and its vendors including interdepartmental mail, USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc. Represents Supply Chain Management on various project teams, process improvement teams and committees. Responsibilities include data analysis, financial interpretation of contract terms, financial analysis, data validation, and identification of savings opportunities. Additionally, the senior manager is responsible to ensure all team members strive to provide exemplary customer service in all interactions and tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a business discipline or related field. Ten years management experience preferably in a healthcare supply chain environment.Certification/Licensure:
Valid driver’s license.Knowledge & Skills:
Successful track record of managing and prioritize multiple time-sensitive projects Strong negotiation and presentation skills Sales ability, persuasiveness, planning, project management, facilitation and critical thinking skills Data analytics skills. Ability to manage conflict and build strong relationships. Strong Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel.
