The position will lead the Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization for the Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) within Northrop Grumman Space Systems and will report directly to the Division General Manager. This role will have authority for supply chain strategy, planning and execution across a diverse set of Business Units within the SSSD portfolio. The selected candidate will be a high performing, experienced leader who is goal oriented and well equipped to partner with a wide range of stakeholders to support corporate, sector, and division objectives, including program execution and financial performance. They will leverage a solid understanding of supply chain processes and work closely with program stakeholders and across functions to optimize results in both classified and unclassified environments. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

Execution:

The SSSD GSC Division Director will work to ensure the GSC organization is more proactive, working in the early phases of the programs to optimize supplier selection and GSC Advance Planning, working to ensure the GSC organization is agile and responsive to program timelines, foster key Space Programs supplier partnerships, and drive financial performance with strong affordability focus and improving cash management. Additionally, the selected individual’s duties and responsibilities include:

Member of GM Division Staff

Ultimately Responsible for GSC Proposals, Budgets, Staffing, Requirement Release, Supplier Execution, Supplier Quality Issues, Inventory

Attends DFR’s, Proposal Reviews, Staff Meetings, Key Program Reviews

Aligns GSC execution with Divisions AOP

Strong focus on Financial integration

Maximize company returns through effective supply chain management

GSC Executive to Resolve Key GSC issues, internally and externally

Works to resolve issues before elevation to Division GM, GSC Vice President and Business Unit Executives

Drives Best Practices across GSC

Parts Management, Cash Management, Supplier Negotiations, etc.

Focused on the Development of GSC personnel

Fosters mentoring, job rotations and special assignments- help grow future leaders

Coordinate Cross Sector Supplier Issues with counterparts

Drive Leveraged Supplier Relationships

Basic Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s Degree with at least 15 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, sustainment, proposals, procurement, demand planning, or business management OR a Master’s Degree with at least 10 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, sustainment, proposals, procurement, demand planning, or business management

Demonstrated people leader with a minimum of 5 years of experience leading diverse teams

Must have business systems experience (SAP and/or Cost Point)

Procurement experience as a Buyer/SCA or Manager of Buyers or SCA

Self-starter with the ability to work independently under the guidance of the Senior Sector Director of Program Execution

Experience leading large cross-functional teams in a matrix organization

Experience in change management, implementation of best practices, and training

Must have active Top Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications: 

The ability to travel 25% of time

Aerospace & Defense experience; execution in various program lifecycle.

Solid understanding of supply chain metrics and key performance indicators

Robust business systems implementation and transition experience

The ability to address uncertainty with predictive data analytics

Strong program management skills with ability to execute initiatives with urgency, accuracy and efficiency

Must have active Top secret and SCI clearance

Salary Range: $235,000.00 - $352,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
