Make a Difference
The Director of Surgery Center, RN position is located at the Community North Surgery Center. The Director is responsible for coordinating and managing the Surgery Center’s planning, development, and operations to ensure the best possible healthcare is provided to patients of the Center. This position establishes and maintains total quality healthcare services with the focus on excellent experiences for patients, staff, and surgeons. The Director promotes the safety and well-being of all patients. The Director is responsible for interviewing, hiring, counseling, and termination processes. This position supports and practices the mission, vision, and objectives, and goals of the organization. 

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
Applicants for this position should demonstrate a high degree of responsibility, confidentiality, and discretion. Applicants should possess advanced knowledge of nursing care according to AORN, ASGE, and SGNA professional standards of care. 

Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required from a Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited school of nursing or in lieu of accredited schools listed above, three years of related professional nursing experience. A Master’s Degree in nursing is required within 5 (five) years of assuming the role.  Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) is required. One (1) or more years of leadership experience in a related field is required. Certification within a specialty area within three (3) years from hire is required. Able to multi-task, prioritize, and organize.  Remain calm and effective in stressful situations. Demonstrates strong leadership, professionalism, communication, and organizational skills.  Knowledge and understanding of regulatory guidelines.
