Overview Expected pay for this position is $52.66 - $69.77/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Surgical Services is responsible for providing clinical and administrative direction for the Department of Surgery which includes surgery, the preadmission care unit, the post anesthesia care unit, the ambulatory surgery center, cath lab, cardiology and the sterile processing unit. Is responsible for the performance of these units through the management of personnel, identification of and response to market conditions, and by ensuring compliance with accrediting and regulatory requirements. Effectively manages the capital, financial and human resources of the Department of Surgery. Develops and implements appropriate plans, goals, budgets, and policies to ensure alignment with the Ministry strategic plan and goals. Plans and directs the delivery of quality patient care and related services. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing Licensure/Certifications: Current RN license in the State of Illinois. CNOR preferred. Experience: A minimum of five years of hospital nursing experience and at three years experience as a surgical services nurse manager in a large hospital or surgical services director. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Master’s of Science in Nursing or equivalent degree (MBA, MSN, MHA or related field) Membership in a professional organization OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
